Venus Universal
At Venus Universal they are committed to organic farming, which has enabled them to drastically reduce waste and energy loads.
The organic material they use as fertilizer is recycled waste.
In the winery they work with the yeasts that the grapes carry, with the lactic bacteria that swarm in the air and the acids present in the fruit.
The only input they have is sulphur, but year after year they make tests to reduce its addition until it reaches zero.
Another objective is to improve water management. Currently they use steam engines, which has reduced the amount of water used in the winery by 80%. They still depend on the electricity grid for energy consumption, but the next step will be investment in photovoltaic energy.
