Penedès

The Penedès Designation of Origin is divided into ten subzones, grouped into three large territories, which are: the Pre-coastal Depression, the Pre-coastal Mountain Range, and the Ancosa Mountain Range.

Characterized by the variety of microclimates, where the climate in the sub-areas of the Pre-coastal Depression is Mediterranean, that is, mild and warm, while in the area of the Penedès Maritime, due to the influence and proximity of the sea, it is more temperate.

They produce white wines, red wines, rosé wines, and cava. The whites are characterized to be light and aromatic, while the reds and rosés are light but intense.
