Terra Alta

The Terra Alta Designation of Origin is made up of the twelve municipalities of the Terra Alta region. It is the highest and southernmost designation of origin in Catalonia.

White wines of the white grenache and macabeo varieties predominate. They are powerful and very Mediterranean, light, with a fine palate and a peculiar taste.

The rosés and reds, structured and with personality, are made with cariñena, red grenache and hairy grenache, tinged with tempranillo.

The rosés are tasty and permanent in the mouth. The red ones are sober, full-bodied and very complex.

The climate is Mediterranean with a strong continental influence, rainfall is scarce and there is a lot of sunshine.
